I love Oribe Silverati shampoo because it truly makes the grey in my hair a beautiful silver. My sister didn't believe me until she came to visit. Suddenly she remarked, "Sister! Your hair IS a beautiful silver!" -- and now she uses it too. But what came in this order isn't right. The bottle is right, but instead of a beautiful opaque & creamy silver-blue, the shampoo is a dull transluscent yellow-grey. And instead of creamy, it's more runny, and doesn't lather well.And to make matters worse, after five days of using it, my hair feels waxy and the grey in my hair has gone from the beautiful silver to a dull yellow-grey. So yesterday I decided to drive the distance to the one shop in my area that sells Oribe, and I bought a bottle, as much as anything, to make sure I wasn't imagining the difference in the shampoo. Or perhaps the formulation has changed since I last bought it.But no, the bottle I bought at the salon is the creamy silver-blue that I remembered. Additionally, there are some ingredients in shampoos that I'm allergic to. Since I started using the Oribe that I bought from Amazon, my scalp has been itching like crazy. I didn't really connect that dot until I was talking to a friend and she made the connection.So the Amazon bottle was not the real thing and was a waste of money. I've posted a picture of the two shampoos above. I'll let you guess which is which.

Been using this same brand for a year and a half before it was taken off the market for about a year. So happy that it's come back. Formula seems a little different however a tad water down maybe I'm not sure. But overall I'm very happy with it it appears to of the same sheen on the appearance of what my gray hair looks like. In the past when I purchased this product from a salon it had a sealed cap underneath the plastic cap. This product however did not have a seal on it. So I may order my next bottle from the salon and see if it's any different than buying it from Amazon. As well as I will come back and make notations on this product again to let you know whether buying it from a salon comes with a seal on the bottle.

Until I saw a review just now that the color of the actual Oribe Silverati shampoo has a slight silver/blue color to it, I have not understood why this very expensive shampoo has not helped keep my all white hair all white. The shampoo I received from Amazon is creamy yellow.

When I first used the shampoo, I was very disappointed because I thought it *turned* my hair yellow. I stopped using it and reverted to other shampoos that promise better results.

I hate to waste things, though, so I tried it again this week, and once again, have observed my hair has taken on a yellowish tint again. I came back to read through the reviews again, and saw that the color of the shampoo I received was off. So I will just toss the bottle out. Lesson learned.

Would not buy from Amazon, unfortunately, though. It was a costly mistake.

Oribe Silverado is the best hair brightener shampoo I have used. My hair is thick, with a mix of light and dark tones. I have had issues in the past when using various 'purple' shampoos that definitely left a purple sheen to my hair (my stylist suggested mixing these shampoos w regular shampoos to cut down the tint - but what a pain!). My only complaint has been in the delay to bring this product back to market after a lengthy delay due to what I understand was a supply chain issue.
