The scent is very light. All other Pantene products give us headaches due to the overwhelming fake fragrance. And only Pantene conditioners allow us to get combs through our super thick hair and keeps the tangles out through the day. There is no film or build up. For the teens, it stops all dandruff. For the tweens and younger, they use it on the back ponytail area to stop breakage from the elastic. Can't find it in physical stores anymore and too afraid to buy from 3rd party merchants because you never know what you're really getting. Happy to see Amazon selling it directly as a subscription. This is the best Pantene product ever.

Vine Review - from my wife; I'm not big on rose scented conditioners. :-) At the outset...my wife is crazy when it comes to what she puts in her hair; like a lot of you, I'm guessing. She was impressed with the ingredients and especially with the "lack" of certain ingredients. Though, her very first comment was "you're not going to like this." I asked why and she replied, "you won't like the scent and it is strong." "Try it anyway," suggested and she did. She liked the soft hair afterward, and certainly appreciate soft long hair. So that's a win. Scent? It has one. The one we used was Rose--the the name Rose Water. HOWEVER; though it is fairly strong in the shower going on, a great deal of it rinses out, leaving a very gentle scent that I didn't mind sleeping next to that night--that's a thing here because she has tried a number them I have asked her never use again because when my nose got near her hair in bed...not good. This one...nice. I'm not into flowery as a rule...but nice. SUMMARY: Excellent conditioner and the only caveat is the rose scent...but then you already know whether you like rose or not. This is not overpowering like grandmother's powder; it's quite subtle once rinsed.

So I have battled dandruff and combination hair my entire life. I’ve tried several different shampoos/conditioners, treatments, etc. nothing worked. I thought I’d try this just a shot in the dark. This is good conditioner. I was worried about the scent because my sinuses are very sensitive. Usually when people give me scented soaps, lotions, etc I have to give them to my sister so I don't get a sinus headache. I was pleased that this product did not give me a headache.
Also, it has entirely eliminated the itchiness I always used to experience on my scalp. It eliminated most of the flaking, and I bet that if I paired it with the shampoo, it would take care of all of the flaking.

For the conditioner:
I gave this conditioner to my 60 year old mom to use. She has thin, fine hair that she's been dying since she was in her 20s. Unfortunately, she's not a big fan of the conditioner (but she loves the matching shampoo). She found the conditioner wasn't moisturizing enough. She likes to wash and condition her hair 2 times a week max and with this conditioner, she feels like the roots of her hair get greasy quickly but the tips and ends are super dry. She's stopped using the conditioner and instead kept using the shampoo but with a different, richer conditioner. That was a better combo for her. She loves the scent and I would agree. She's given me the conditioner to use. i have thick long hair and wash my hair 3-4 times a week. I enjoy using this conditioner although i'm not one who's very affected by hair products.

For the shampoo:
i gave this shampoo to my 60 year old mom to use. She has thin fine hair that has been dyed since she was in her 20s. She liked this shampoo so much that she asked me to order her a bunch more so that she wouldn't run out! She initially started using the shampoo in conjunction with the Pantene Pro-V blends Rose Water Soothing Conditioner (although she's not a big fan of the conditioner) and now uses it with a different conditioner. What she's liked: -cleans her hair without making it feel dry. -the smell, she LOVES the smell. What she's disliked:-the price. A little steep for what she'd usually pay but she's still willing to pay the $10+ because of how much she likes the shampoo.

As far as ratings go, I'd rate the shampoo as 5 stars and the conditioner as 2 stars but Amazon isn't allowing me to rate each separately.

I've been quite happy with this new conditioner from Pantene. The pump is well designed, and the bottle itself has a very nice aesthetic to it. The conditioner itself is quite thick, and has a very pleasant scent without being over powering. I find I don't need to use much in my hair, but it still comes out feeling quite lush - I often struggle with dry/coarse hair, so it always pleases me when I find a deep conditioner like this. One small qualm I have with this product is the advertising - it claims its "sulfate-free" composition is a feature of product, but as a conditioner, it shouldn't contain sulfates in the first place. Not a great move by pantene, but still a great product.

The conditioner itself works really well as most pantene conditioners do. I have thick hair that tangles easily and it does a really good job helping me to get a brush through it when wet.

The smell is nice, but if you don't really like rose scents you won't like this as it's pretty strong and perfumey. As for the value, it is great because you get a lot for your money.

If you want a good conditioner and don't mind a rose scent, you will definitely enjoy this.
