This dryer repair kit fixes the following symptoms: Will not tumble | Will Not Start | Noisy

DC97-16782A drum support roller and axle, which includes the roller shaft and mounting clips, is used in dryers. This part holds the drum as it rotates on the support wheels. When the roller begins to wear out, it self lubricates, so no additional grease is needed. If your dryer is making odd noises then checking and replacing the rollers can be the solution to your problem. Make sure to unplug the dryer from the power source before beginning this replacement.

6602-001655 drum belt attaches to the motor pulley and causes the drum to spin as the motor is rotating. The drum belt is made of black rubber. This is an easy repair and should only take a few minutes. This goes between the drive motor and the dryer drum. The belt may have broken, which will cause the drum to not turn properly. You will need to pull your dryer away from the wall and use your Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws on the back.

DC93-00634A Dryer Idler Pulley includes the idler arm and the idler pulley that maintains tension on the drive belt, allowing the belt to turn. Disconnect the power before installing this part. Wear work gloves to protect your hands.

You've probably arrived here from YouTube. I have!The process is not going to be as easy for you as it was for the guy on YouTube, but that does not mean it is difficult :) I only mean that you should be prepared! Take a lot of pictures of BEFORE, so you can reference them if you need - and you WILL need them. Also, write down every step with lots of details.You will also notice differences between this kit and BOTH the one in the video and the actual item from your dryer. For me, the nuts from the old rollers could not be re-used for the new ones because the thread is different. Also, it uses a 14mm wrench instead of 17mm.Also, the spring had different ends so I re-used the old one.The new rollers sound noisy by themselves, but the Dryer runs now with the same noise level as before!Make sure you vacuum all the parts and the inside. Feel free to ask me any questions.

Brought this after hearing loud squeaking noise from my dryer. I figured that it would fail sooner or later. After three weeks the belt wheel broke off. Luckily I had purchased this kit in advance of my samsung dryer failing. After watching youtube videos I disassembled my dryer and added these parts. Worked like a charm. Took me over an hour to do it from start to finish. Not bad for a non-repair person. I was hesitant to purchase the kit at first not knowing the quality, but after comparing what came off the machine and what was sent they look almost identical. I hope it last long term. But for what I paid and the fact I saved a boatload installing it myself I think its a great value.

I may have bragged that I was an excellent washer repairman too much from one of my other Amazon parts adventures! My mom and dad, who are on retirement, got a quote to get their dryer fixed as the drum wasn’t turning. The quote came in at $240! My dad and I dove into the dryer without any hesitation. We are not experts by any means! My dad grabbed his screw gun and I with mine began unscrewing the top and front. The drum was intimidating, but actually just pulled right out! With the drum out it was easy to see that the belt was broken and 1 of the rollers was broken and another one bound up (lint culprit). I think it was a succession that led up to the multiple part failure and prevented the drum from turning correctly. With this parts package we were back in business. My only concern is the roller quality was identical but the roller bolts/bearings (included) were a size smaller than the OEM rollers. It says it’s an upgrade and went back together ok, but time will tell with the overall quality. We buttoned it back up and if I had to guess probably took about 1 1/2 hours for us novice guys to complete from start to finish. With the successful outcome of watching the drum come alive and a little help from YouTube...I would call this another success with a huge cost savings!
