Update: It's been two and a half months since the purchase with at least one washing a week if not more, and the towel is holding up splendidly. Every seam is still intact. I'm updating my review since I'm here purchasing another one in green! We were gifted a much shorter toddler towel, and every time we have to use that back-up towel my husband comments how he likes this blue hooded one so much better.

Big rip after the first wash... replacement ripped before even washing!

UPDATE— even MORE disappointed after exchanging this for a new towel, which promptly arrived. I examined the new towel, gently poked around the seam of the hood where the side had been on the previous towel, and the fabric came apart at the seam! This time I didn’t even have to prewash it for it to rip— I stuck my finger along the seam and it just came apart. I’ve never seen such shoddy construction. Returning this right away.

Original review: Very disappointed in this towel. Picked it out for my daughter, washed it before using it, and it came out with a large 2-inch rip along the seam of the hood after that first wash. Now i have to sew it up before she even uses it. We had an identical smaller towel from another random seller last year, and that lasted a year no problem with almost daily use. so maybe this product is hit or miss but the rip on the first wash is ridiculous.
