I use wood pellets with my SoloStove Ranger and wanted to use something to help keep the pellets from falling into the holes in the fire pit.The fire pit is made from 304SS - same as this product. As long as you aren't heating it over 1500 degrees, it will be fine to use.Since they come in a 2-pack, I expect to get at least 10 uses or more before they become too warped to use. Their small purchase price makes replacements easy to get.

edit: I used the contact the seller option and they got back to me within hours and promised a replacement. I am greatly impressed. If the item is received in usable shape I will again upgrade my rating. I am a consumer that is very positively impressed and influenced by quality customer service.
I generally have no problem with "used, like new" items when that is an accurate description. Unfortunately, these canner racks were also dented and bent, rendering them unusable to use in my pressure canner. Having the jars move around during the 90 minutes of intense heat and pressure would be a potential safety disaster. Not sure about my "next move" as I need them now and returns and replacements take time.
