I really enjoy the type of music this little band can produce. This being my second CD i've purchased I'm still amazed at the creativity of developing in a genre of music that can hold its own to pop songs is refreshing. The steampunk vibe of a world driven by the cog is a beautiful rendition of a simpler yet exciting time of wonder and fun!

I was first introduced to The Cog is Dead by Spotify when it played me "Doctor Franklyn". I quickly went and bought every CD they had (only 2 at the time, but I would have got more if I could). Because of the age of their most recent CD, I was sadly convinced that not only was the Cog Dead, but so was the band. Imagine my surprise and delight when I happened to stumble across this CD not a month after it came out.

On the first listen through this CD, I knew that the Dead Cogs had not failed me. It has just as much melody and steampunk whimsy as their other two CDs. My favorite songs are "Carnival Of Clockwork", "The Incredible Jelly Donut Juicer" (though the thought of donut juice does make me a bit ill), "Freak Show", "The Gumbo Song" (more food music!), and "We All Have Fears". There wasn't a single song I disliked, but those were the ones I will listen to again and again.

Now, greedy creature that I am, I eagerly await the next CD!

The cog is dead - always leading the way in steampunk music since 1873

Fun to drive to. Share it with your friends... If they're into the steampunk thing, they'll think you're cool, otherwise they'll think you're weird. Still, you can enjoy the look on their faces when they ask "What are you listening to?"
