Cheap, cheap, cheap. The tape is so cheap that it just frustrates my daughter. The tape cutter works fine, as long as you cut along the correct part of the tape (no backing). Removing the backing is hit or miss. One some of the tape designs, the backing comes off without any issues. On other designs, no matter how slowly you peel it, it rips the backing and leaves a thin layer behind. That results in the tape not being sticky at all.

I'm surprised by the other reviews, unless the quality of the kit has recently dropped, or has a huge amount of variation.
