    This is awesome for ice pack use. I get really intense migraines, with pain so intense there’s nothing I can do aside from lay in the dark and hope it passes. Heat pads don’t really do much for me, in fact I find it makes the pain throb a little worse. But as an ice pack, this thing is amazing. It’s a big enough size to cover all of my head, which is exactly what I needed. After about 30 minutes in the freezer it’s nice and cold. Sometimes I like to leave it in there for upwards of 2 hours so it’s frozen solid, but the pain relief is worth it especially since it softens up as the pack melts around my face and keeps me nice and cool. I haven’t had any problems with it leaking, but I did notice the reviewers who did have it leak on them were microwaving it, which it says not to on the package. Overall as an ice pack I completely recommend this and will continue to use it as I need it.

    My wife just had knee surgery, and they gave her reusable ice packs to help reduce swelling and pain. The problem was they only provided 3, and they need to used in pairs. The brand that came with the knee brace were expensive and would have taken forever, so I checked Amazon and found these.

    * They are the exact same size as the provided ice packs.
    * They have rounded corners, so they slide into the slots in the brace without catching on the material of the brace.
    * They are more attractive than the clear plastic ice packs, and seem better made.
    * They were half the price!

    CONs
    * These do not seem to get as cold, though that may be the material they are made from.
    * They don't seem to stay cold as long as the originals.

    Overall, my wife says they are good, not great, but she does like to swap these in when the originals get too cold to be comfortable. She also really likes how easily these slide into the pockets as the other ones catch easily and are a bit frustrating to get into the slots. I think they were worth what I paid, and they seem to be doing the job, so I'd recommend them.

     I frequently use frozen gel packs for migraine headaches. This gel pack has a durable & soft cloth-like casing which minimizes condensation. It is much more comfortable against the skin compared to gel packs which have a plastic casing - I do not have to wrap another towel around it to use it, I can place it directly on my skin. I also like the soft seam sewn around the edge for added comfort. It is also quieter.

    I have kept it stored in the freezer for several months and have used it over half a dozen times now and it has held up well. The size is perfect to rest on my neck and forehead. It holds the cold well. I suggest keeping another one in the freezer to rotate as it changes temperature.

    For what it is, it works great. We use this because we don't have an ice-machine in our fridge. As a result its very tedious to be using up all the ice (or not having enough on hand) when you want to make a bag of ice.
