The material of the replacement canopy is thinner than the original so more sunlight comes through the top. To date, this has not been a problem with additional heat. The big improvement with my replacement canopy are the Velcro tie-downs spaced (every 18” on the long side and 12” at the corners) that attach to the canopy frame. My original canopy tie-downs had about half as many tie-downs. As a result, the replacement canopy does not move at all even under very windy conditions. This is a huge improvement over the original. I have had it installed for three months so I am unsure of the durability, but it appears well made.

This is the second replacement for my gazebo. The first one did not survive a storm and ripped to shreds even though it was less than 3 months old! Hope this one holds up better. I wanted to find a heavy duty canvas top but have not been successful. The only ones available are these polyester tops, not nearly sturdy enough. But they are the only option. Should have spent the money and bought a hard top gazebo!

The original gazebo ( I purchased from Home Depo) replacement canopy unfortunately seems to always be out of stock when trying to purchase from the manufacture. Although this item is not the exact look of the Sunjoy Group beige canopy for window gazebo (10x12ft) item # L-GZ120PST-2K; This replacement one fits perfectly and is a good alternative product. If you also need the Sunjoy replacement mosquito netting, I highly recommend the one sold here on amazon. Item # (ASIN) B08SPXYNH6. It the same style/look of original netting and hooks needed for assembly are included and it also perfectly. The only reason I took one star away is because the replacement canopy's feel/quality is not the same and the bottom trim color is beige and not brown like the original so it will look different however, I will live with it for a fully funtional gazebo again!
