Very first run on new traxxas tires one tire blew almost all the way off on the inside and the other came partially unglued.. not the first time having trouble with traxxas tires guess I shouldn’t be surprised…” update” received the second pair of traxxas tires/wheels today and they looked ok until I took my 1/16 slash out to try them out and low and behold traxxas let’s me down again.. both tire blew off the rims.. their doing a great job in the tire glueing department it seems.. thank you traxxas you never impress me.

I bought these wheel/tire combos, along with some Traxxas hex wheel hubs, to install on my HPI Mini Recon. The wheels have very little offset, especially compared to the stock HPI wheels, so you won't be able to tighten the wheels down.

While others have resolved this by either buying an extra long hex hub, or by taking two hubs and gluing them together, I utilized the small machine shop in my garage, and machined some aluminum spacers for the wheels.

With these wheels/tires on, I no longer have to worry about broken wheels, and better yet, my Mini recon has better traction and maneuverability. I've also noticed I haven't blown any more shocks, despite some heavy bashing. Furthermore, the truck looks so much better with these wheels and tires on.

If you've got these on a 1/16 Slash Brushed, your tire glue is probably OK.

If you've got these on a 1/16 E-Revo VXL custom with a Slash frontend, and highspeed gearing, prepare to search for your tires as they spin off when you hit high speeds.

Not much of a problem, but might want to break the glue/reglue before your first run if this is the case for you !

I have an ECX 1/18 Torment and was looking for a set of better performing tires as the stockers are close to toy grade. These premounts are great. Off road performance is better than stock and these are the cheapest I could find these new. These are also very close to the same size as the stock wheels/tires. Just a hair wider and hair taller.

They work well for this, but with the speeds I'm reaching, I am constantly re-glueing them. (Not so much the fault of the tires, more just a result of the abuse I put them through).
