My daughter has gorgeous waist-length curly hair and she is so very sensitive. I have been researching for years to find something that would make combing her hair out as pain-free as possible. I have tried dozens of brushes, Denman, detangling, paddle brushes and so many different kinds of detanglers, and literally nothing compares. We are both so happy. It is a total game-changer.

I will be recommending this to all my other girl mom/dad friends who experience the daily struggle with grooming long hair! I have two girls, one with straight and the other with semi-curly hair and both girls would wake up with rats nests due to tossing while they sleep. Both have very sensitive scalps and have grown an aversion to any sort of grooming.

My older one (5, straight hair) has actually started to like being brushed, because this thing, when used properly and according to the included instructions, does NOT pull! My younger one (2.5) is still getting used to a noisy brush next to her head (she does however like it as a toy which I would recommend against using it as).

It's pretty simple to use, just gotta attack the dreads with patience. Unfortunately, this does NOT come included since it will take some time. Fortunately, it does come with batteries so that's a bonus! I'll finish up this review with some recommendations for an improved design.
1. Integrate the travel case with the handle so it doesn't easily get misplaced, or make the tips retractable.
2. Make it resistant to breakage from drops.
3. Provide different color options.
4. Provide USB charging capability for ease of portability (not everyone travels with AA batteries).
5. Provide speed adjustments.
6. Reduce motor noise.
7. Smoothed, ball-shaped tips at the end to reduce discomfort.

For many years I had used something called “Purr” which did a great job but was very loud and needed to be plugged in. It was also bulky to hold.
I was so happy to find this Remington Detangler Brush which is quiet, easy to hold and run by batteries. I have used it almost everyday for the last few weeks and it is going strong. Lightweight and works great. It is really a double row comb and not a brush. My only complaint is that the comb/brush teeth are surprisingly sharp. I am careful not to push down or it scratches my scalp. Thus, my 4 stars instead of 5.

First off this is advertised as batteries included and they were not. Also when I removed the battery panel to put some in part of the latch was broken off. So not sure if it was previously returned and repackaged or not.

Regardless I cleaned it so we could try it out. The comb itself, the teeth, are spread pretty far apart. So as it did comb through the first step in detangling. You absolutely needed to go through with a brush and then a finer toothed comb to really get them 100% out.

I will also say my daughter who has fine wavy hair I think it worked better on. Then my daughter who has really thick straight hair. It's always a struggle with my thin haired daughter when it comes to brushing. So I will probably keep for her. She seems pleased when I use it vs just starting with a normal brush first. But if your child has thicker hair I would not recommend as it did not do much for her.

I bought this a couple of years ago and as I have long, highlighted hair it’s been a fab tool that’s helped with detangling my hair when wet.

Watched a review on this product and thought I’d give it a go for my daughter who has curly hair and knots easily. I am amazed at how easy it is and how well it works. We have tried so many different products and this one definitely tops them all. My daughter insisted she try it on my hair, as it’s long (down the middle of my back and thin) I didn’t think it would go well especially as it was tangled and full of hairspray.
