Like its predecessor, the collection mixes chant and song with dance beats and electronic instrumentation. While tracks such as "Dela Dela" and "Yane-Heja-Hee" meld these elements most effectively, the overall effect of the synthesized sound is heavily over the top and distracting from the gentle melodies and heartfelt cries of Native music at its best. A prime example is the tender and lovely female vocal on "May You Walk in Sunshine," obscured by overly aggressive accompaniment. If there were a genre for "compelling" music, this album, and its predecessor, would be at the top of the chart. This is so much more than just chants, ambient or flute music. It's the whole orchestra in harmony with the wonderful voices of the chants.

It's unlike anything I've ever heard before and I've been looking for others like it with little success. No one else blends the music and the chants so well. It's seamless, wonderfully done, expertly played and to say you "connect" to it is a gross understatement.

I've listened to the two albums for three days straight. Today is the fourth day and I'm still entranced by its complexities...and its simplicity, at the same time. And the reason I say it's "compelling" is because you find yourself WANTING to listen to it over and over again.

The beats are flawless, the voices pure, the music is nothing short of inspired. I'm a tough old geezer, and some of this music almost brings me to tears. It doesn't just flow around you, it flows THROUGH you, touching as deeply as you'll allow it. For me, I feel it in my soul and heart.

I will undoubtedly listen to these two albums for many years!

This is one of the most beautiful, coherent and inspirational works of music that I have ever heard. I first purchased it on a whim in a Native American jewelry shop in New Mexico, I think back in 2010. Since then I have given away and re-ordered many copies. Sacred Spirit 1 is very nice, but Sacred Spirit Volume 2 is really one of my favorite albums ever. Instead of getting tired of it over the years, I come to enjoy it more and more. Pure musical magic!

This is a magnificent piece of work.
The blending of old and new sounds feels like you're in another world.
I have played this CD for many of my clients during time travel and it helped in releasing old emotions. There definitely is a powerful spirit associated with this music. As a result many of my clients thought it was amazing and wanted to get this CD. I have made several purchases of this CD for each of them. It is one of its kind.

I first heard one track on YouTube - O-Loa-Ki-Lee - so perfectly matched to The Crazy Horse Ride. It took a while to identify the song and next, to find the album. Then I learned of the Sacred Spirit controversies - the native musicians were not credited; and on the first Sacred Spirit album, one popular song was not even sung by a native singer! Difficult to get to the bottom of. So it took even longer to stick with my wish to buy this cd but I did and I'm very glad I did. I LOVE the chants. Because they were purchased, it was this cd or nothing? Still want the contributors identified for their songs, and hope to accomplish this in time! The modern music (I call it Native American dubstep) does not negate the original tracks, thank heavens; it often complements them well. I think this album is better than the first Sacred Spirit coz they tried harder to do it right? Even my grandchildren have come to enjoy this cd - I couldn't ask for more. If I don't play this cd daily, I miss it.

Having listened to and been enthralled by Sacred Spirit 1, I'm so glad I managed to track down a copy of this cd. It doesn't disappoint and certainly lives up to the fabulous quality and high standard of the first compilation. Highly recommended to fans of this type of music because Sacred Spirit seem to have the edge on authenticity of the Native American Sound - all the instruments are genuine and sympathetically conducive to this style of music - no tinkling panpipes to modern songs here, thank goodness! I simply can't wait for the next cd to become available.
