It can probably work, if you are willing to take out the intake manifold and install it from the top of the engine bay, or as others have shown you can remove the drive axle, or remove the top engine mount and push the engine forward to squeeze it in. This is a very simple repair with the OEM alternator. It just slides in and out through the wheel well with room to spare as Suzuki intended. This aftermarket replacement is just big enough to make the installation a nightmare.
Thankfully, Amazon gave me a full refund without any issues. If anyone knows of an aftermarket alternator that is truly the exact size as the original, it would be nice to know. I've ordered the Bosch AL4504X, but am starting to have doubts that it will fit. In the meantime, the best solution is to just rebuild your original alternator, and then you are guaranteed that it will be easy to install.
