A job that most folks could do.
0. Unplug washer and slide it forward 8-10" to allow access to the rear screws for the top panel.
1. Remove the lower access panel - 3 sheet metal screws w/ 1/4" hex heads (below the panel)
2. Remove the top panel - 3 sheet metal screws w/ 1/4" hex heads (on the back of the washer) then slide panel rearwards and lift off
3. Remove the detergent drawer - pull open, then depress the release tab and pull the drawer out
4. Remove the control panel - 1 Torx head screw (next to where the detergent drawer was, T20 head size)
5. Remove the control panel - follow the electrical cable from the control panel to the right side terminal block and detach the cable from the block (lift the locking tab on the block and pull the cable plug rearward)
6. Remove the control panel - depress the tab on the right side of the panel, then wiggle and pull the top of the panel forward and down. Feed cable out and set control panel aside.
7. Release the outer spring clamp - look on the bottom of the rubber boot where it clamps to the front panel of the washer. You'll see a spring holding the two ends of the clamp tight. Use a small screwdriver or other rigid tool to hook the clamp loop and pull it to the side and then towards you. Remove clamp and pull rubber boot off the lip of the front panel
8. Remove front panel - 4 sheet metal screws w/ 1/4" heads (one at each corner of front panel)
9. Remove rubber boot - loosen inner clamp that secures the boot to the washer tub using # 2 Phillips screwdriver. Remove clamp and pull boot free.
While you've got everything open, check the hoses going from the detergent module into the tub - one attaches to the top of the tub, the other to the front left of the tub. Dirt and debris might be causing some leakage, so detach both hoses and clean them if anything looks damp or dirty (slip joint pliers will allow you to easily release the spring clamp on the end of each hose). Assembly is just the reverse of these steps. Make sure you position the inner boot clamp away from the detergent hose so it doesn't damage the hose. Getting the outer spring clamp back on the front panel can be tricky but there's a special tool that makes it a piece of cake. Search for "washing machine spring expansion tool" and that should give you what you need. A little bit of soap also helps slide the new gasket onto the retaining lips on the tub and the front panel.
Reassemble in reverse order, but plug in the washer to check that the control panel works before sealing everything all the way up. Clear as mud, right? Have fun - you can do this!
p.s. My leaks were coming from the top hose where it goes into the tub. So apparently I learned how to do this just so I could teach you...
Pros:
- Direct replacement for WFW8300SW03
- Slightly larger drain holes than my original
- Rubber is nice and thick and should last a long time
Cons:
- Only con is the difficulty with reinstalling the spring and getting the outer seal correct

I suggest that this seal should ship in a larger box so that it doesn't arrive folded, which complicates installation.

Make sure you use some dawn dishsoap to make it easier to go on.
Would buy again if needed… would never buy a front load washing machine again though.
The install was... a bit of swearing and struggling but Dish Soap as lubricant and an extra set of hands that don't move around definitely helped with the install
the Seal definitely is less pliable then the older one (with reason considering it is new seal). Unlike others, I have not experienced leakage at all. Ensure your seal clamps are on tight and installed appropriately, ensure the drain ports are at the bottom as well before finalizing it all.
