Took a long time to choose this dresser. We originally purchased the Delta dresser that has 4-1/2 stars with 900+ reviews, trying to save a little money. That dresser had such an offensive and persisting chemical odor that we returned it. I had been eyeing this one the whole time, but the cost drove me away. After returning the Delta, I figured that I should go with my gut and purchased this one - although the lack of volume of reviews was a little off-putting. The dresser arrived today - they gave me a 12 hour window (9a-9p) and did call with recorded voice to give me a one hour notice - they arrived around 130p. The cardboard box in which it arrived was soaked on the bottom and I was a little worried that it would have soaked through to the dresser. Once I opened the box, my worries were quickly gone as I saw how secure the interior of the box was - and that it was elevated 2+ inches off the bottom of the box. I opened the box and, with assistance of a friend, carried it upstairs (the drawers weight roughly 40 pounds, so a good idea to remove them. We chose a BLACK finish and it looks exactly like the product page picture (with a little cordovan color at the edges - adds a nice touch). There was a little bit of a chemical odor, but hopefully this dissipates - and it was not strong at all, unlike the Delta. The dresser feels solid and the drawers open easily and close gently. There is no assembly necessary. It comes with the brackets to keep from tipping. The dovetail joints are throughout the drawers - not only the facing side. The reinforcement on the bottom of the drawers should insure a long life. However, the bottom of the drawers appears to be cardboard -although it has a wood-look veneer. I dont anticipate this being an issue, but something to be aware of. The dresser is not solid wood - but it is still VERY solid feeling. I will update if warranted. I do recommend at this time.

I am expecting a baby mid-November and decided (after a lot of shopping and comparing) to purchase the Westwood Design Pine Ridge nursery set. After searching online, I also discovered this set goes by the name of Westwood Design Hanley - seriously the Hanley collection is exactly the same and comes in the same "Cloud" color. Anyway, moving on.

I ordered the crib, dresser, and nightstand. I also went ahead and got the bed rails so I can convert this set to a full bed when my child is older. We will store the bed rails in the basement for a few years until they are needed.

The nightstand and dresser came fully assembled from the factory. The crib needed some assembly, but that was easy. The quality of this furniture is absolutely fantastic. The pieces are very heavy and well made. This is nicer than the furniture I have in my master bedroom, actually. This is definitely not even remotely comparable to what you might buy at a big box convenience store right off the shelf.

Also the look is beautiful. I got the "Cloud" color which is a lovely medium gray. I am very happy with this set and can't wait to get the nursery put together completely! This is going to look so cute once I get it fully decorated!

I ordered this in 'cashew', it's definitely much darker than the picture in the listing shows but I am fine with it. It's too much of a hassle to exchange for the gray one. Overall I love the solid construction, it feels like a piece to last for many years.

While initially impressed with the claimed quality and styling of this product, the quality has not met my expectations. I have had this dresser for 3 months and the finish is already starting to show signs of wear. One of the drawers was delivered with the paint already starting to peel from a corner. I contacted the manufacturer to see if they could remedy this and received no reply. Today I noticed that the paint is starting to chip off the top corner of the dresser. I am very disappointed. Had I known that this dresser wouldn't last I would have purchased something cheaper, but my expectations were raised for this mid-priced dresser. I will not be purchasing any furniture built by Westwood in the future and I would encourage you to continue your search as well.

Excellent piece of solid furniture. Color as expected. Was disappointed with the rear of the unit just being backer board, but otherwise it met my expectations. We noticed a small dent in the bottom front of the dresser. We will be contacting the company to see if we can get stain to repair. We are happy we got it before the baby arrived, because it did smell quite a bit when it came.

I would not have purchased if had a second chance. The color is not the same gray as the picture. It has smudges of black all over it and it not a consistent gray throughout. The product feel solid; the only con is the color. Any other color would probably be perfect. Came fully shipped!

I have bought many of the other items in the set and each item has the same issue. Would send the set back if it was a hassle, will have to repaint each piece.
