I have read a number of reviews that were very negative about this product and it is a shame that customers had to go through whatever issues that they had. I am not the best Amazon customer, because I tend not to review products very often. However, I chose to review this product in order to give my take on my purchase.

I have had product (hair product and liquids in general) show up busted before from other sellers and it can be a pain. Sometimes that happens. My product showed up just fine and I commend the person who shipped my order me...thank you for making sure that my product did not leak in transit.

As for the questions of the authenticity of the product...I am not the seller, so I cannot guarantee anything. I can tell you that I was a cosmetologist years ago. There is something of a secret in the salon and private working cosmetologist community that few people tend to know. The product that you buy from a salon or privately practicing cosmetologist was bought wholesale. What that means is that anyone with a current license to practice as a cosmetologist can purchase products at 50 - 60% less than what you pay for it at a salon...or in this case Amazon. It would most likely be just as cheap to buy the real thing as a product that was not real. Believe it or not I know a few people who have not cut or colored hair since they graduated from hair school. Why? Again, you can obtain your license and purchase as much product as you need through wholesale and then sell it on a site like Amazon. I have no idea if that is the case with this product, as I have no connection to the seller. I will say that you do not need a business license as a salon. You simply need one licensed cosmetologist on your staff and they can do all of the ordering based on their license number. Believe it or not, many cosmetologists usually make about half of their monthly salary based on product sales. That is some markup on the products isn't it?

I did go to Paul Mitchell's website to look at the design of their bottles compared to what I bought (to see if there was the slightest difference). I found no difference. The design on the bottles that I received was part of their limited edition for earth day...or month. So, the bottle appears to be legit.

Also worthy of note, I have used only Tea Tree since 2009. I smell and feel no difference in the product. My hair is staying moisturized and I have no reason to believe that I received a fake product.

Anything is possible in regards to what type of product you may actually get unless you do go in to a salon or purchase directly from Paul Mitchell. I have no doubt (or reason to doubt) that I have anything other than a real version of my ultimate favorite shampoo and conditioner. The only complaint is that I did not keep my license active. So, like most, I now pay full price.

I've been using the tea tree combo for years. I've tried other tea tree products and they just don't quite give me a strong of a smell or as good of a clean as this product. You only need to use about a quarter size amount, maybe less for your hair because it's so concentrated. It'll last you a long time. That said the pump heads have broken on me while using these and it makes it a pain to use if that happens. Overall I recommend this product.

This is absolutely the best shampoo and conditioner for dry hair and scalp. It is very hydrating, without being greasy, and the amount of hair loss in the shower is significantly less.

I am a redhead with long, thick hair that is very dry, and damaged, and dry scalp in the winter, and this shampoo and conditioner helps immensely.

I thought I would switch it up and try the (more expensive) Paul Mitchell Awapuhi. It smelled great, but that was the only plus. It did NOT work for me. It made my hair very dull and the breakage and hair loss was horrible. I switched back to this set and within the first wash, I could notice the difference in my hair and scalp, plus half the hair in the drain.

I highly recommend this shampoo and conditioner!

I love this shampoo as it helps with my scalp issues (dandruff, psoriasis, and pimples). I tried medicated shampoos before and they do not help. After a few months of using this shampoo, all problems are 99% gone. I rarely get any pimples on my scalp. I also use the shampoo in my beard and it helps a lot with eczema/dandruff when used regularly. The shampoo's helpful effect started to show after about a month of using it. Note that shampoo is not a cure that you can take only once. Have to use it regularly.
