I bought two of these and they are awesome. The motion detection on these work great I hung these in the closet up and around the top of the door header and stuck the control box to the side frame (see pictures) and it comes on as soon as I open the doors. They are really bright too and light up the closet nicely... I've been looking for something like this for a while. The packaging is only a white plastic ziplock bag (no big deal) but they do not come with any instructions. From what I can tell... the time dial on the front sets the time the lights stay on and the push button on the front turns the light on manually (The button lights up when pressed) when the button is not on (button not lit) the unit is in motion detection mode. Contrary to the answers in the question section I do not think the switch on the side with the sun and the moon is the ON/OFF button as the unit still works regardless of which position it is in. My best guess without further testing would be... its a sensitivity switch for the motion detection? I don't know how long the batteries last yet but I am using 1100mAh Rechargeable Batteries so it really doesn't make that big of difference.Overall these are well worth the money and I'm probably going to buy a few more to do the other closets in my house.

I LOVE these things!! I ordered one and I like it so much that I just ordered another one and will be ordering 4 more (once they're back in stock) for the rest of my apartment closets! My GF is also ordering a few for her kitchen cabinets after seeing mine.

I actually have probably a dozen LED strips. I consider myself to be a "maker" and use these types of LED's all the time. BUT the difference with this one is the motion-detecting, battery-operated control box! What a convenience! Pop 4 AAA batteries in there and this thing seems to last ages. It detects motion and flicks the light on AND you can actually adjust how long the lights will stay on once activated (WHICH I LOVE). Additionally, of course, you can press a button to turn the lights on permanently and the button will actually light up red to let you know that it's turned on and not on motion-detecting mode.

Application is easy because the light strip has a sticky backing AND it comes with some double-stick tape, already cut to the size of the controller. So it's really just peel and stick for both the controller and the light strip itself. Installation took MAYBE 30 seconds... literally.

The amount of light they produce is perfect too. It's not overly bright but at the same time, it's bright enough to light an entire (large) closet enough for me to see what I'm doing. I'd give this 6 out of 5 stars as I could. Definitely ordering more of these!!

This motion sensor Bed light works perfectly as intended and also allows the user the ability to adjust it in many ways. Also included with the device is 3M sticky back two-sided tape to facilitate mounting on any surface or any angle. Many vendors would include a cheap imitation of the tape but with this Motion Sensor, LinkStyle includes the 3M brand name tape so you actually get something that will function and work as intended. What I'm also excited about is that not only can you use it for what it is intended and advertised for it has other uses and applications as well. As a fisherman and boater, I'm looking forward to purchasing another and using it on my boat inside my rod and reel compartment. The ability to turn on when motion is detected is great and enables me to mount the lights inside the boat compartment area and have it come on when I open the storage area door providing great light in a very dark environment.

This LinkStyle sensor light is a quality made product with care and thought for the end user taking into consideration in its design and building. What I can't attest to is the length of time the AAA batteries will last but given the low power LED lamps and the sensor operation I expect it will last a long time.
