    • Product Description

    CONTENTS: washer hoses washing machine

    Fits all washers up to 1-1/4" discharge outlet including LG, GE, Samsung, Maytag, and all other brands!

    Included in this package is one 6ft industrial-grade polypropylene washing machine drain hose, designed to fit any brand of washing machine. Make no mistake: this is an UPGRADE from your existing drain hose!

    INSTALLATION IS A BREEZE:

    1. Use a screwdriver or pair of pliers to remove the hose clamp that is securing the existing hose to the appliance, depending on if you have a screw-tightened hose clamp or a spring-pressure hose clamp, respectively.
    2. Wiggle the old hose free from the drain outlet.
    3. Push the connector end of the new hose over the drain outlet. If the connector is very loose on the outlet, trim the end of the connector to a smaller diameter that will fit more snugly over the outlet.
    4. Replace the existing hose clamp over the connector to ensure a water-tight connection.
    5. Securely hook the saddled hose holder (the discharge end of the drain hose) over the utility sink edge or directly into the drain pipe and zip-tie or or otherwise secure it to prevent it from moving during use.
    DONE!

    I needed a longer drain hose because I was moving the washer and dryer a different direction. The first one I received had a small hole in it and leaked all over!! Then after receiving the new one, i cut the end to fit my washer and clamped and it wasn’t a good enough fit so it leaked!! Crazy! So finally I was thankful I didn’t throw out the hose that came with my washer…I cut the end off and attached it to the new hose with my old good clamp and yay!! Works great now. Also I had to get this rubber part to put in the drain to keep it from pulling out.

    This part fit. It was designed to cut down on the end until you reached to proper hose diameter for your machine, and it was easy to cut and then fit perfectly. I used the clamp that came with the original hose because it was more robust, but I will use this provided clamp elsewhere.
    So many things can and do go wrong with DIY, but this 12.99 part and a couple hours of my time saved me an estimated $200 - $250 repair bill. Pretty worthwhile.

     Heads up. I generally don't bother with reviews but this may save someone from having a disaster. I wouldn't take a chance with this hose. It would not seal, even though the clamp was so tight that I could not twist the hose. The sizing is off. I have a 1 1/8" (28.5mm) outlet on my machine but even using the 1" (25.4mm) hose size, the hose was WAY too loose. I tightened the clamp down and it leaks like a sieve. Besides the sizing being off, the material is so slick, slippery and flimsy there is no grip at all on the outlet fitting, which doesn't help. Maybe if you have a large 1 1/4" outlet you could get the 1" size part of the hose to seal, but I have my doubts. I don't know if it is poor quality control with the sizing or what, but I would look elsewhere. I read the other reviews and figured "it's a hose, how bad could they screw it up"? Well they did.

    The first issue was that the clamp on the installer's hose was a weird twisty thick wire that was hard to remove. The other issue is that the output goes through a PVC pipe and that end of the hose has a rigid plastic meant to go into the pipe. When I ran a wash, it was clear that the rigid plastic had to be removed as the hose it wasn't deep enough. I had to order plastic ties to keep it in place.

    Major disappointment and waste of time with this product. It's a good thing my washer is on a concrete floor near a drain or this would have been a DISASTROUS experience. There is some kind of invisible defect with the hose construction near the washer end. Can't be fixed with the way you adjust the clamp/ trim hose length etc. Read and heed the negative reviews which describe basically the same problem I had!!! Now I have to go through the hassle of returning this thing they should just give me the refund for what I experienced.
