My only complaint is the impressions my chair leaves after sitting on one place for any length of time. To slightly adjust the location of my chair, I have to hold it in the new desired location for about 5 seconds, not letting it roll back into the last spot. Without me in the chair the mat barely gives under the weight of just the chair.
The mat I recently ordered and received is clear where my original mat was opaque but Amazon shows the same unit as being ordered twice. Once in 2017 and recently in 2024. I'll update this review if the clear 2024 mat ever shows signs of wear or proves to be any less durable or cooperative (in regards to laying flat) than my original 2017 mat.
Overall, I'm extremely happy with the product and was happy to review it after years of use.
It was incredibly hard to unroll at first when it arrived. I would almost recommend you leave it out in the sun on a hot day for a few hours be you try and unroll it.
Also it's Made in America, made in the USA, made in the US lol covers all the search terms for when people are looking for products name in The United States :)
I think if we could have gotten it to lay flat, it would have been nice. It had good thickness to it (which probably contributed to it not un-rolling) to protect the carpet.
The durability of this mat is superb. I have used this mat almost every day since purchase as I use it for my home office. I can confidently say that I’ll probably be using this mat for many more years to come. Worth every penny.

Is it annoying to unroll? Yep. Does it have a terrible smell when you first open the box? Yep... those are probably where the issues end.
UNROLLING THR MAT IS A 2 PERSON JOB, I CUT MYSELF ON THE MAT SO PLEASE GET A SECOND HAND LIKE I ENDED UP DOING. I live in Texas and have the benefit of being able to put the mat outside in the heat. This greatly reduced the amount of time it took for the mat to become straight. The whole unboxing to straightening out the mat took about three hours. I assume it might take longer if you straighten the mat inside or if you were in a cooler climate.
It’s extremely durable and easily the most sturdy office mat I’ve bought. I was really tired with lesser quality mats always tearing/cracking over time. HOPEFULLY this mat won’t suffer the same fate as previous office mats I’ve owned.

So, we put them in our home workout room, took them out of the box, removed the shrink wrap. And read the instructions. We were skeptical. That was on Thursday evening. Today, Saturday, by 4pm one of the mats could be put down. We used our Dyson heater and set it in front of one mat at a time and eventually it flattened out, just like the instructions indicated. By 5pm the second mat was put down in our home office that is used daily.
We are anxious to see if these mats perform as advertised. We have them on thick pile carpet. I can't venture a guess how many mats we have had over the years that said they would work with thick pile carpet. Honestly, I will be tickled if I can update this review in 2 years and still be happy with them.
Just read and follow the instructions. We warmed them slowly as they were transported to us through Central Oregon in the winter. It seemed to work out fine with the slow heating of them.

Downside is it was ridiculously difficult to flatten out. It was also fairly difficult to unroll the first time. I'm fit, but I'm no muscle builder, and it proved to be a reasonable challenge to unroll, as it just didn't want to change shape permanently. Then as I slowly managed to unroll it, I had to immediately pile things on top of what I'd managed to unroll to prevent it from curling back up. After a few days of sitting in the living room with stuff piled on top of it, it still wanted to curl back up, but was flattened enough that I could put it in place. Once in place, the corners didn't flatten out for a good few weeks.
