This is NOT a "Dual Motor" Steering Wheel, as described in the listing. On the Box it is described as :Plug and Play (it is)Coil Spring Mechanism (no Force Feed Back)I spent half a Day trying to get the "Vibration" test TAB to show up in the device properties.I downloaded and tried several Drivers ( including theirs )I tried to contact DOYO ... impossible, every email link was broken, and the chat went to a 3rd Party site. Finally I opened the thing up, and now I know why Windows Calibration never needed the "Vibration" TAB.It's a nothing Sandwich, there ain't two Motors in it.It's a misleading listing. This thing simply uses a spring to return to zero.

The "7 in 1" aspect is probably the top selling point of this budget wheel. I have an old Logitech wheel with failed force feedback in a storage locker in another city. I debated whether to drive there and retrieve it, but figured I would give the Doyo R270 wheel a shot since the advertised compatibility with android as well as the PC and consoles was quite tempting. Because for mobile game racing, let's face it: steering with tilt, direction arrows or a funky mini-wheel doesn't cut it.

I've road tested the Doyo in 6 games on 2 platforms, giving a pretty good feel for its capabilities. Out of the box, the user gets a fairly comprehensive manual explaining button functions and various installations, finishing with several pages of tips and troubleshooting. In no game was the advertised vibration "force feedback" noticeable. On the other hand, the variable steering sensitivity came in very handy with android.

For PC, I tested with three racing sims: RaceRoom, Assetto Corsa and the Brazilian racer Automobilista. The wheel is compatible with all these games. It won't be listed in the dropdown list of presets in the configuration menu, but your inputs will be recognized. The one exception, Assetto Corsa didn't recognize the D-pad, inconvenient but not a game breaker. The wheel lacks shift paddles although the gear lever works fine. The steering controlled accurately with a good deadzone, but light in feel. You'll miss force feedback if you're used to it. The accelerator pedal works fine, braking needs stronger resistance and more modulation but is at least serviceable.

For android, if your tablet lacks a standard USB port, a female USB to male micro USB adapter is needed (doesn't come with the wheel). This adapter is a must for playing on the Kindle Fire, as I did.

On the Fire, I tried the Doyo wheel with Real Racing 3, Assoluto Racing and Rush Rally 3. Real Racing 3 specifically recognizes the Doyo (not just as a generic gamepad) and I found the wheel an improvement over gamepad control. Specifically in catching loss of grip quicker and more precision passing through the pack as races are short sprints starting from the back. And if ever a mobile game needed wheel support, it's Gran Turismo clone Assoluto. Steering was too slow at first, but raising to maximum sensitivity did the trick. For example, I was able to beat license tests such as carving through slaloms which I had repeatedly failed with the gamepad: job done. And the Doyo wheel works very well with Rush Rally 3, a game with full controller button mapping so you can really customize the wheel setup.

In conclusion, the real value of this wheel is utility. If you enjoy racing games on more than one platform and have neither the room or the budget for multiple wheels, this one represents a good value compromise. Dedicated PC, PS or Xbox racers will be better served with a true force feedback wheel such as Logitech, Thrustmaster or Fanatec. As for quality concerns with Doyo wheels mentioned by other reviewers, I've had no immediate issues. True the Doyo R270 doesn't feel notably solid and robust, but so far so good.

Got this because it was cheap compared to other wheel/pedal setups and even includes the shifter. Not an avid racing game player but i play pc so i wanted to enhance the submersion when i do feel the need for speed. It arrived and i set it up, first thing i noticed was the two clamps on the wheel itself seem cheap. Yes they did hold the wheel to the table but it wobbled up and down with a little pressure but did not dislodge during play. I played with this wheel for about 3-4 hours on Beam ng, wreakfest, and farming simulator just to test and see if it was compatible with different game types. Some minor setup in the game menu i was able to have it set to my desire quickly. Performed great in game! Didn't notice any lag in steering or pedals etc. I was pretty happy i was able to get a decent wheel for under $100. This evening went to go play some more Beam ng and worked like it had the previous night for about 30min than all the sudden my bus swerved into the bus pickup point scaring the virtual passengers and presumably lead to a substantial lawsuit on the cities part......anyways after this incident the wheel no longer steered, at all. All other functions worked normally just not the steering. So thinking maybe it was just this game bugging out i tried the others i played the night before same issue. Tried unplugging and replugging it in no change, went into the game controller setup on my pc and ran the test and no input from the steering axis. Thankfully i had only had it a short time so Amazon is refunding me my money and I will do further research into whether this was a rare occurrence or common which will decide if i get another or fork over the dough for a better quality name brand. All my other game controllers are Thrustmaster which I love since i play a lot of flight sims but wanted to save a buck on the wheel since it is over $200 for theirs. So basically this thing was cool when it worked. Knocked off two stars for quality since it did break within 5 hours of use as well as the fact that yes it did hold on my desk surface and floor but the suction cups suck and so that is another star in my book.
