I use these in hand piecing, applique, and hand quilting. I find them to be quite effective and stay on my finger. Some reviewers state that they can put them on a hard surface after use and reuse them. I've not found this to be true for me. They stick so well, that I ruin them when I remove them.

I can't believe I spend almost 20 dollars on this. I do a lot of hand sewing and I was so desperate to find something to relieve the discomfort in my finger pads, I made a rash decision. First of all, the dots are tiny (even though I have small hands), so you constantly have to align the needle with the pads. I guess one doesn't give too much thought to the actual process but the needle is gripped by the full pads of the thumb and the index finger, not a particular point. If the pads were to cover the full finger pad area, then maybe this could actually work. Secondly, they don't grip. Not even through a couple of layers of cotton, anything heavier would be impossible. Lastly, they are annoying to take off. I wish they gripped the needle as well as they stick to the skin. Now they have been added to the box of useless things for some future craft project.

They don’t stay in place well and leave a sticky residue. I was so hopeful with these after reading other reviews. 😟

Needed because lost feeling in finger tips. Grip-it 2 not as good as original Grip-it manufactured in Japan. Too thick and does not adhere to fingers well. Needle is able to catch and product lifts too easily. If the old become available again will dispose of these and buy them!v

There is a learning curve to these... but they do help with gripping the needle, and they make my stitching more even. I have trouble getting them positioned just right and have wasted a few because of that. Will keep trying, because I believe that the effort will pay off eventually. :D

These are perfect for hand quilting. They stick very good to your pressure points on your fingers. I was able to push the needle through even the corned of the binding with out the needle puncturing through the Needle Grip-It pad. They also have a rubberized/silicone surface which helps tremendously to grab and pull the needle through the material. I used these to hand quilt a king size quilt and wouldn’t hand sew anything without them. Much easier and controllable than your typical thimble. I will be buying more of these!
