Bought this unit over a cheaper gland since it's supposed to be UV resistant- time will tell if it stands up to the sun. 3 stars since I think the design could be improved with the inclusion of a gasket groove and "O" ring style gasket. No instructions, so I have no clue as to what the half moon supports are supposed to accomplish. Also the length could be shorter, otherwise it appears to be a quality item.

The seal is not removable from the gland, which makes it very hard to pull cable through. After pulling trough just two feet of cable, the seal was completely shredded and fell out. Consequently, I have had to order replacement glands (which I have selected with removable seals).
