Seiko Matsuda has had an extensive career as a pop singer and actress, with a nearly forty year singing career in Japan, a recurring role on FOX's Bones and several hits on the US dance charts over the years.
Seiko's music career is impressive, with a record of twenty-four consecutive number one single hits in Japan, several hits on the Billboard Dance Chart in the US, and numerous awards. She has been active both domestically and internationally: in 2005, she released I'll Fall in Love in Taiwan, which reached number one in the album charts and in 2007 she participated in the Asia Art Festival held in China.

Now with Seiko Jazz, she has her very own project with highlights including Smile, The Look of Love,The Girl From Ipanema, among other classics.
On this album, Seiko is accompanied by members of the Manhattan Jazz Orchestra, whose leader David Matthews did the arrangements for the record. It was produced by Shigeyuki Kawashima, the first Japanese jazz producer ever to receive a Grammy.
